ABOUT US

Dementia Pathfinders CIC is a not-for-profit social enterprise providing learning opportunities, resources and services, to enable people with dementia and their families to live with hope, creativity and meaning.

Representing those at the heart of dementia care
We aim to give a voice to people with dementia, and friends and family members who support them, keeping these people at the heart of everything we do at Dementia Pathfinders. We also represent the perspectives of everyone working in the field of dementia care, particularly those in the frontline of care work, whose experiences and contributions are rarely articulated.

Finding new ways to support people with dementia

At times along the journey through dementia, it can be hard to find the right path. We want to help map the journey and develop ideas for living well with dementia, particularly in the early stages where little presently is offered.

We believe that people living with dementia and family carers are pivotal to improving knowledge, understanding and skills in the health and care workforce, and to creating inclusive and compassionate communities.

With ‘lived experiences’ captured and at the core of our endeavours, Dementia Pathfinders works in partnership with people with dementia family carers, health and care organisations and local communities, providing evidence based education, life-changing resources and therapeutic services.

Our vision is a world where people with dementia experience no stigma, no discrimination and no sense of isolation and disconnection; and where family carers are truly recognised and rewarded for their resilience and strength.

These sections of the website introduce the staff and directors of Dementia Pathfinders and our associates. Staff are based in the West Midlands, London and the South East. They work in a variety of roles, developing and co-ordinating training programmes and innovative projects, establishing partnerships with like-minded organisations, and involving people with dementia and family carers.

Our associates and partners are involved in project work and training delivery and are spread throughout the UK. They share a passion for excellence in dementia care; each has considerable experience and expertise, gained through working in ground-breaking service development or creative dementia training initiatives.

Staff, directors, partners and associates alike are committed to working alongside people with dementia and family carers in all aspects of the work of Dementia Pathfinders.
