‘Communication and Interaction with Individuals who have Dementia’

This training provides the underpinning knowledge required to develop awareness of differing communication needs and abilities of individuals with dementia in order to enhance positive interaction.
Learning Outcomes:
· Understand the factors that can influence communication and interaction with individuals who have dementia.
· Understand how to interpret the communication of individuals with dementia.
· Understand how to communicate positively and effectively with individuals who have dementia.
This course delieverd via two webinars, starting at 9.30am and finishing at 12.00pm.
Webinars for this course will take place on the following dates:
11th Jan 2024 – Part 1
18th Jan 2024 – Part 2
These webinars can be attended by learners who would like to access this learning opportunity as stand-alone workshops and also by those who would like to undertake the ‘Award in Awareness of Dementia’ OCNLR Level 2 or 3 qualification.
