‘The Person-Centred Approach to Dementia Care’

The aim of this training is to provide the knowledge and understanding required to enable the individual with dementia to experience well-being. Learners will be able to develop their knowledge of the person-centred approach to dementia care and support.

Learning Outcomes:

· Understand approaches that enable individuals with dementia to experience wellbeing

· Understand the role and needs of carers of individuals with dementia

· Understand the roles of others in the support of individuals with dementia.

This course will be delieverd via two webinars, starting at 9.30am and finishing at 12.00pm.

These webinars can be attended by learners who would like to access this  learning opportunity as stand-alone workshops and also by those who  would like to undertake the Level 2 ‘Award in Awareness of Dementia’ OCNLR qualification.
