About the Event

‘Understand the Administration of Medication to Individuals with Dementia’

(Ofqual Unit Ref No: R/617/5009)

The aim of the training is to enable learners to gain knowledge and understanding required of individuals who may have specific needs for receiving medication because of their experience of dementia. Learners will develop their knowledge of these medication requirements. This unit does not confirm competence.

Learning Outcomes:

•Understand the common medications available to, and appropriate for, individuals with dementia.

•Understand  how to provide person-centred care to individuals with dementia through  the appropriate and effective use of medication.

This course will be delieverd via two webinars, starting at 9.00am and finishing at 11.30am.

Webinars for this course will take place on the following dates:

16th March 2023 – Part 1

23rd March 2023 – Part 2

This unit is part of the Level 3 ‘Award in Awareness of Dementia’ OCNLR qualification. For further information on how you could achieve this nationally recognised qualification please visit our Level 3 Award in Awareness of Dementia
