About the Event

'Understand the Process and Experience of Dementia’

(Ofqual Unit Ref No: L/617/5011)

The aim of the training is to enable learners to gain the knowledge of the neurology of dementia to support the understanding of how individuals may experience dementia.

Learning Outcomes:

•Understand the neurology of dementia.

•Understand factors that can cause changes in an individual’s condition that may not be attributable to dementia.

•Understand the impact of recognition and diagnosis of dementia.

•Understand how dementia care must be underpinned by a person centred-approach.

This course will be delieverd via two webinars, starting at 9.30am and finishing at 12.00pm.

These webinars can be attended by learners who would like to access this  learning opportunity as stand-alone workshops and also by those who  would like to undertake the Level 3 ‘Award in Awareness of Dementia’ OCNLR qualification.
